Who can apply
You can apply for this residence permit if you are a diplomatic or consular agent. You can also apply if you are the spouse, ascendant, or dependent descendant of a diplomatic or consular agent.[1]
What you need to show
You must show proof of your diplomatic accreditation in Portugal. This accreditation must be for a period of at least 3 years.[2]
You must show proof of registration with the tax administration. You must also show proof of registration with social security.[3][4]
You must provide proof of your means of subsistence.[5]
You must declare your residential address under oath. If you own the property, you must provide a land registry certificate or its access code. If you rent the property, you must provide a declaration from your landlord or the hosting entity.[6][7][8]
Required documents
You must submit a valid passport. You must also submit an authenticated criminal record from your country of nationality, or from the country where you lived for more than a year before moving to Portugal.[9][10]
You must fill out the mandatory Model 1 form. If it applies to your case, you must also fill out the Model 4 form, which is a Term of Responsibility.[11][12]
