You must not have been convicted of a crime that carries a prison sentence of more than one year in Portugal. There must be no other facts that would prevent you from getting a visa if the authorities knew about them.[3][4]

What you need to show

You must show a valid passport and a valid residence visa for remote work outside of Portugal. You also need a declaration under oath from your employer or client outside Portugal that proves your work contract or service agreement.[5][6][7]

You must provide a signed declaration under oath about your home address and how you live there. If you own the home, you must show the land registry certificate or give the access code. If you rent, you must show a declaration from your landlord or host.[8][9][10][11][12]

You must book an appointment to apply. You must submit your application in person using the official Form 1, which you or your legal representative must sign.[13][14]
